The Friends, a registered charity, is a voluntary organisation run by its members for the benefit of patients and staff of the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine.
The Friends is committed to helping the hospital’s patients and staff, as well as to the continuing growth of services and development of the hospital itself.
If you or someone you know, has benefited from treatment at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine and you wish to show your gratitude and support for its continued success within the NHS, please become a member of the Friends and help us to support this.
Membership costs only £10 a year – you will receive our UPDATE newsletter, reports and invitations to events, workshops and seminars, as well as the Annual General Meeting, which always includes an interesting guest speaker.
As a small charity, we depend on subscriptions, donations and legacies from patients and supporters. By remembering the Friends when making your Will, you can help ensure the benefits of the RLHIM remain available for patients in the future.
All donations and profits are used to implement the Friends’ objectives in supporting the work and continuing services of the hospital, helping clinical staff with training, seminars, special equipment, etc., and providing facilities for the benefit of patients. We also fund and contribute towards innovative research projects in the field of integrated medicine. Your contributions will also help fund our work to protect patients’ rights to receive integrated medicine on the NHS.
The Friends supported the establishment of the Information Centre on Complementary Medicine (CAMLIS) which is open to patients and the general public .
Volunteers run our very popular snack bar for patients and staff and all profits go directly to implement the Friends‘ objectives.
We always need more help: if you have time on your hands and would like to spend a few hours helping to provide a warm welcome and a cheering ‘cuppa’, we would love to hear from you. For more information, please write to:
